intruder alert

Every level of hell she's been to and the one that she's stuck in,
The one she can't escape, even though it's of her own construction,
Maybe you can relate, maybe you're one of those that just doesn't,
Maybe she doesn't care, loves to allow these demons to come in with no,
Intruder Alert

This unfamiliar path is taking me so many uncomfortable places and it simply makes me cringe. I have began to open my eyes to reality despite all of my self destructive efforts to blind myself. There is nothing that I see that I like but regardless I am simply left to get accustom too these things. I am coming to another cross road. My mind wonders as I sing along to the song Intruder Alert. It's funny how a song can take you back to a certain point in your past. I used to play this song on repeat constantly about three years ago and ironically enough it hits home yet again. So much has changed since then but at the same time so much that should have changed has not. I constantly find myself in my own constructed hell. Everyone assures me that I sell myself short however I have yet to see it. I am aware of what I am and what I am not but how other's measure this worth baffles me. At the same time I have yet to find a measuring system that satisfies me. So in the meantime I carry on as I have in the past. I love to allow these demons to come in even when they are wearing an intruder alert name-tag.
